Our Staff

 

James R. Barber, President
Jim joined the staff of The Generosity Trust in January 2000 after many years in ministry service with Samaritan’s Purse and The Moody Bible Institute. He attends Calvary Chapel, Chattanooga, where he is active in a variety of ways, in particular the Renew Outreach of the Church. He has volunteered as a baseball, softball, basketball and football coach, and has also been involved in missions outreaches in Romania, Bosnia, Croatia, Jamaica and Ecuador. He is a graduate of Cedarville University, National College of Education, Warren National University and was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree from Temple Baptist Seminary. Jim and his wife, Tammy, who is the Middle School Academic Counselor at The McCallie School, have two sons and a daughter, two daughters-in-law, one grandpuppy and two grandkittens. Email Jim.


Henry A. Henegar, Vice President
Henry is president emeritus of Psychological Studies Institute and Chattanooga Bible Institute (now Richmont Graduate University). He is a graduate of and former teacher and alumni director at McCallie School. A former president of the Dora Maclellan Brown Charitable Trust and the Caldsted Foundation, his volunteer work has included First Presbyterian Church, Rock Creek Fellowship, Young Life, Bible in the Schools, Chattanooga Area Leadership Prayer Breakfast, and the C. S. Lewis Lecture. He and his wife Jane, a writer who taught Bible at Girls Preparatory School for 30 years, have a married daughter, two married sons, and seven grandchildren. Email Henry.

 


Jennifer M. Sheffield
Jennifer joined the staff of The Generosity Trust in October, 2014, as the director of Finance, Accounting and Administration.  She spent the 15 years prior to this as the Assistant Director of Camp DeSoto, a privately owned, residential girls camp in Mentone, Alabama.  A graduate of the University of Mississippi (Accounting), Jennifer has also worked in the field of Finance and Banking in Tennessee and Texas.  She is married to Carl Sheffield, who recently completed the 140.6 mile Houston Ironman triathlon! Abbie T. Smallman
Abbie joined the TGT family in September, 2015, as the Staff Accountant.  She is a 2014 graduate of UTC, with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.  Abbie and Paul Smallman were married May 21, 2016, and are the proud parents of a dog, Marlin.  They attend church at New City East Lake. Sarah T. Gribble
Sarah joined the TGT family in December, 2015.  Originally from Florida, she has worked in a variety of capacities, from Customer Service to restaurant server, and even as a nannny for several families.  Sarah studied Sociology and Anthropology at UTC, and is an active member of Calvary Chapel.  She and David Gribble were married on April 22, 2017, and are proud residents of the North Shore area of Chattanooga.  Email Sarah.
